PDF Compressor
Make a smaller rasterized copy of a PDF, with explicit quality trade-offs.
◇ Files are processed locally. Password-protected PDFs are unsupported.
How pdf compressor works
Each page is rendered to a JPEG and placed in a new PDF. This removes selectable text, links, annotations, forms, accessibility tags and signatures. Use only on a copy when those features are unnecessary. Output may be larger.
A practical example
A scanned document may shrink at 100 DPI and 65% JPEG quality; a text-only PDF will often grow.
Using this tool
- Select a supported local file using the picker or drop zone.
- Review the file details and available output settings.
- Process and inspect the output before downloading. Keep your original.
