How image dpi / ppi calculator works

PPI = pixels ÷ print inches. Printer DPI describes ink dots, which is different from image pixels. A metadata change cannot add image detail.

A practical example

3,000 pixels across 10 inches gives 300 PPI.

Using this tool

  1. Replace the example values with your own measurements and units.
